USE 1 Fact in future

EXAMPLES:
The Mayor will open a new stadium tomorrow.

USE 2 "Will" to Express a Voluntary Action
"Will" often suggests that a speaker will do something voluntarily. A voluntary action is one the speaker offers to do for someone else. Often we use "will" to respond to someone else's complaint or request for help.

EXAMPLES:
A: I'm really hungry.
B: I'll make some sandwiches.

A: I'm so tired. I'm about to fall asleep.
B: I'll get you some coffee.

A: The phone is ringing.
B: I'll get it.

USE 3 "Will" to Express a Promise
"Will" is usually used in promises.

EXAMPLES:
> I will call you when I arrive.
If I am elected President of the United States, I will make sure everyone has access to inexpensive health insurance.
I promise I will not tell him about the surprise party.

USE 4 Agreeing and refusing to do something

EXAMPLES:
You know that book I lent you? Can I have it back?
Of cource. I'll bring it back this afternoon.
The car will not start
I've asked John to help me but he won't

USE 5 Asking someone to do something

EXAMPLES:
Will you shut the door, please?

USE 6 With these words and expressions 

probably	I'll probably be a bit late this evening.
(I'm) sure	You must meet Ann. I'm sure you'll like her.
(I) expect	I expect Carol will get the job.
(I) think	Do you think we'll win the match?

IMPORTANT No Future in Time Clauses

Like all future forms, the Simple Future cannot be used in clauses beginning with "when", "while", "before", "after", "by the time," "as soon as," "if" and "unless."

EXAMPLES:
Before you leave, you must visit the museum.
Wait here until I come back.

When you arrive tonight, we will go out for dinner.
I'll come as soon as I finish.
You'll feel better after you have something to eat.
Hurry up! If we don't hurry, we'll be late.

IMPORTANT Shall I(we) ...?

We use shall (not will) in the questions shall I ...? and shall we ...?

EXAMPLES:
Shall I open window.
Where shall we go this evening?
